The Hope Benefit is organized by the Friends of the Senior Charity Care Foundation for the purpose of supporting charity care for seniors in care settings who cannot afford the total cost of their care and/or services. The Senior Charity Care Foundation uses the proceeds of the Hope Benefit to improve the quality of life of seniors in care settings by fulfilling unmet needs. Each year the Friends select a Continuum of Caring Award recipient who has demonstrated strong support for the senior population.
This year the Friends of the Foundation have chosen Aaron Hofmann, M.D., Director of the Center for Precision Joint Replacement and Founder of the Hofmann Arthritis Institute, and Erin Hofmann, President of Total Joint Orthopedics, to receive the 2016 Continuum of Caring Award.
In addition, JoAnn B. Seghini, Mayor of Midvale will receive the Cornerstone Award and Emma Houston, Salt Lake County's Director of Diversity Affairs will be presented with the Trailblazer Award.
This year the event was held at The Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 from 5:30 - 9:30 PM.
