We are looking for:


Full-time AmeriCorps Members

(able to work 34 hours/week for one year)

 Part-time AmeriCorps Members    

(able to work 18 hours/week for one year)

Qualifications:

  • Good Written and verbal communication skills

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Must be self-driven and willing to work remotely.

  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

  • Must be able to pass a background check and attend pre-service orientation

Position Activities:

  • Host outreach events in order to speak to seniors and care facility staff about available services.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for various civic groups, government agencies and nonprofits.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing community volunteers.
  • Distributing information about available services.
  • Enrolling seniors into programs by identifying their needs and filling out the required documentation.
  • Making referrals to services and resources as needed.
  • Coordinating SCCF Mobile Dental Clinic services including appointment scheduling, payment processing, clinic team coordination and senior follow-ups. 
  • Collecting senior photos, stories, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Recruiting doctors, dentists, hygienists and other physicians to donate their time to clinic.
  • Other activities as assigned by the AmeriCorps Program Manager.
